Fővárosi Állat,- és Növénykert

The Budapest Zoo and Botanical Garden has the oldest and largest collection among Hungary's zoos. In the times of 1990 during the time of Persányi Miklós director of the institution major reconstruction works were conducted with renovating and expanding of old buildings in the garden and on the other hand new facilities were built.There is a growing emphasis on promoting the Garden by different programmes and entertainments which serve the dissemination of knowledge at the same time.
