"Live the dream"

19th NATURE ONE from 2nd - 4th August at Pydna Missile Base is Germany's biggest festival for electronic music

Whether the sun shines or not, NATURE ONE is going to be "a time to shine" for the expected 55,000 visitors. From the 2nd to 4th August, the 19th edition of Germany's most popular festival for electronic music will be taking place at the Pydna missile base (Kastellaun). For four days and three nights the NATURE ONE fans will be beaming with pleasure when they celebrate the appearances of around 300 DJs and live acts. Sebastian Ingrosso, Paul van Dyk, Sander van Doorn, Sven Väth, Markus Schulz, Adam Beyer, Chris Liebing, Angerfist and Zedd will be playing on the 23 different stages. The festival will already be starting on Thursday (01.08.) at the "Mixery-Opening" at the CampingVillage.

"Live the dream – it’s a time to shine" – is the message in the event booklet of NATURE ONE. Over 55,000 visitors are expected to be heeding the call from the 2nd to 4th August. The booklet continues: "Get away from everyday life and into NatureOne Land. The Pydna missile base is in the middle of Hunsrueck. No particulate smog, just the clearest air, which makes the sky gleam a deep blue and the stars shine even brighter. For four days and three nights we will be celebrating the feeling of freedom, open-mindedness and joy of living. The boundless feeling of togetherness will be created among green fields and meadows."

Many visitors want to experience this feeling for as long as possible and take a short holiday for the festival, arriving on Thursday and leaving on Sunday at the earliest. Staying overnight on the 100 hectare campsite is simply part of the whole NATURE ONE experience. Just like barbecuing, laughing, celebrating and meeting old acquaintances and new friends from all corners of the globe. Hundreds of spontaneous parties are held, driven by amateur DJs filling the camping village with music from their sound systems.

During the day there will be partying on the campsite and in the evening on the actual festival site. More than 300 internationally happening artists will be showing the whole spectrum of electronic music. Stars playing on the 23 floors will include Swedish-House-Mafia-member Sebastian Ingrosso (Stockholm), Paul van Dyk (Berlin), Sven Väth (Frankfurt), Sander van Doorn (Eindhoven), Adam Beyer (Stockholm), ATB (Bochum), Chris Liebing (Frankfurt) and Markus Schulz (Florida). It will be almost a home game for Zedd, from Kaiserslautern, who is currently among the top stars in the USA and only rarely appears in Germany.

As well as the four main stages, organisers, labels and club-operators from Germany and neighbouring countries will be presenting themselves on 19 club floors. With resident DJs and their own light and decoration concepts. The location of the floors in and on the former missile bunkers is unique. "NATURE ONE is incredibly diverse. From a club atmosphere in the bunkers, with a few hundred people and surrounded by thick concrete walls, to a real festival feeling with ten thousand on the "Open Air Floor". To relax you can go up onto the 10-metre-high bunker with a magnificent view of the festival area" explains Oliver Vordemvenne from the organisers I-Motion.

This diversity is also reflected in the different styles of electronic music within the club floors: the Berlin club institution "Tresor" presents its definition of contemporary Techno. "Dirty Workz" from Belgium is the world's leading label for Hardstyle and with the crew from "Hexenhouse" from Bocholt you can - as the name gives away - dance to House sounds. The hardest sound will be supplied by the "Masters of Hardcore". For ten years these Netherlanders have been leaders in Hardcore and now with top acts like Outblast, Angerfist and Noize Supressor they will be at NATURE ONE for the first time.

The official starting shot into the party weekend will be given by the "Plattenlegercrew" of radio partners DASDING, the youth station of SWR, on Thursday (01.08.) at the Mixery Opening in the CampingVillage.
